Marriage Certificates Search

To prove that you are legally married to another person, you must have a copy of your marriage certificate. This is a document that lists the names of any two people exchanged vows. When you search the public records, you can view copies of those original documents and find quite a bit of information. Public records are a great way to research relatives when creating your family tree and to find pertinent information when you want to date someone or when you need to do a background check. Modern and older marriage certificates are similar but look slightly different.
